Abstract
A self-pulsed, self-oscillating detector sensor based on a gallium arsenide reflection amplifier monolithic microwave integrated circuit and microstrip patch antenna is presented. The sensor, which can detect signals as low as - 120 dBm in a 30 Hz bandwidth at modulated backscatter frequencies above 20 kHz, operates at 19.8 GHz and requires a single 3.7 V DC bias supply.
