Abstract
A dielectric-loaded cavity-backed slot antenna is analysed by the method of moments, Owing to the geometry, the dielectric material can contact the metal walls hence the problem is formulated to include polarisation currents on the dielectric body, In this way an analysis of the structure can be obtained in a single pass computation. The paper shows the far-field radiation pattern, theoretical predictions and experimental results for various dielectric material positions within the cavity.
