Abstract
Doineann is the first Irish language film produced in Northern Ireland, written by Aislinn Clarke and directed by Damian McCann. Funded by Northern Ireland Screen, BBC Gaeilge, and TG4, it premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in July 2021, before being broadcast on BBC 2 on March 17th 2022.
The film won Best Drama in the Royal Television Society NI awards and Peter Coonan was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the IFTAs.
