Abstract
This article offers a reflection on the use of Architectural Ethnography as a generative design tool in architectural education. It presents a case study of a pedagogical experience that prescribes such a user-centred design approach and, thereby, demonstrates a way of connecting the early-stage architecture student’s work to real-world issues. It also reveals the nature of the creative opportunities presented by architectural ethnographic studies.
