Abstract

An e-portfolio of improvisation research, containing three peer-reviewed journal articles:
- peer-reviewed journal article on improvisation and narratives of space in Organised Sound Journal, Cambridge University Press, 2016
- two peer reviewed texts published in Berlin Exploratorium's ImProfil publication (2018 and 2019)
- two critical blogs that contain over 85 edited video interviews with Brazilian and Portuguese musicians, educators, concert and venue promoters, stemming from two international collaborations. One online platform (Improvisation in Brazil) was enabled through a prestigious HEA Professor Sir Ron Cooke International Scholarship Award (2014); the other (Improvisation in Portugal) through a Santander Mobility Scholarship (2016). The e-folio further includes a CD recording (Barely Cool, 2015, pfmentum label), born out of an international collaboration with two Brazilian musicians, funded through the HEA Fellowship. This recording has been played and reviewed on several online platforms since its release.
