Abstract
The purpose of this paper is provide a research review of the new class of bulk-tuneable dielectric materials, termed Electro-Chromic (EC) materials. ECmaterials is a generic term used to describe materials or compounds that have the property of a change of colour, influenced either by an electron-transfer (redox) process or by a sufficient EC potential. The present review aims to present the details of the fabrication, and dielectric tunability of inorganic ECmaterials based of the standard WO3/LiNbO3/NiO structures together with a discussion on how these characteristics could be deployed in the context of RF device and antenna design
