Abstract

Increased requirements of the job market, higher complexity of decision making in business, attention of universities to employability of students, and results of student surveys indicate the need for the development of innovative teaching approaches for Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management courses. In this paper we present one type of innovative teaching approach applied in a graduate course: weekly assignments followed by self- and peer-assessment and feedback as a part of the course continuous assessment. We discuss our preliminary empirical findings related to: 1) the effects of different types of engagement of students, 2) the structure and nature of self- and peer-assessments and feedbacks.
