Abstract

In this chapter we will work through a few traditional concepts from moral philosophy to see if they can provide a moral foundation for the position that children ought to be involved in the process of decision-making when the healthcare decision is about them. We will offer a summary of those philosophical concepts and principles that are relevant to an answer and analyze their candidacy as underpinning moral concepts for deciding with children.
