Abstract

Solid mixing is considered an important process in the manufacturing stage of numerous products. The mixing of solid particles can be performed in different ways one of which is the use of a vessel with rotating blades. There are several factors that affect the mixing process. Including the number of blades in the mixer, the shape of the vessel, and mixing speed. The properties of the particles being mixed also play a role in the uniformity of the mixing process. Therefore, this research paper aims to study how varying two parameters, mixing speed and the shape of the mixing vessel, can control the efficiency of the process.
