Abstract
Review question:
What are children, parents, and health and social care professionals’ (HSCPs) experiences of decision-making regarding the place of end-of-life for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions?
Searches:
We will search the following databases CINAHL, MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Maternal and Infant Health, and systematic review repositories such as the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, the Database of Abstracts and Review Effects (DARE), the PROSPERO register, and the JBI Evidence Synthesis. Grey literature will include grey literature databases, several key non-governmental organisations (NGO) websites, and local and national policy documents. Relevant journals will also be "hand searched" based on the most frequently occurring journals yielded from the electronic search, in particular recent editions that may include articles that have not yet reached the electronic system until no new relevant papers are found. References from articles will be scrutinised for relevance for inclusion. The search will be limited by publication dates from 2013 to incorporate a 10-year period to assess the current state of science. The search will be limited to studies published in English.
