Abstract

Comments on Re Noble (Deceased) (Ch D), a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) (Northern Ireland) Order 1979 by an adult whose father's will divided his estate equally between his three children. Considers the court's application of guidance given in Ilott v Mitson (SC), the provision of housing to satisfy a maintenance claim, the way in which it was achieved and the challenges caused by the claimant's conduct.
