FFT Reciprocal Reading Train the Trainer programme: feedback report from trainee and school staff surveys

Abstract

This report presents survey findings from the development capacity phase funded by the Education Endowment Foundation, for the Fischer Family Trust (FFT) to create a Train the Trainer model for delivery of the Reciprocal Reading training programme. This Train the Trainer model is designed to increase capacity for scale-up the programme during an effectiveness trial from September 2023. A newly developed Logic Model (2022) is interrogated using the survey findings, including feedback from trainees and school staff. Trainees were those trained by FFT experts to deliver the programme to schools, and school staff are those who were trained by these trainees and who implemented the programme in schools during the academic year 2022-23.
