Abstract
THE NUMBER of people being identified as having cancer is rising due to advances in diagnostics and treatment. Cancer affects people in different ways. For some, the illness is treated and they return to health, but for others cancer recurs, and in many cases the disease becomes a chronic illness that never resolves.
