Abstract
Family medicine offers undifferentiated problems, multimorbidity, and social complexity intrinsically linked to clinical uncertainty and managing risk, uncomfortable and challenging aspects for students. Undergraduates can learn to avoid overdiagnosis, investigation, and treatment and potential iatrogenic harm. The concept of “clinical courage” and other practical approaches are introduced to support students.
