Abstract
This occasional paper analyses the repercussions of the UK leaving the Internal Market and the EU Customs Union on the continued integrated economy and society on the island of Ireland, and proposes alternatives to the disruption of the peace process which would result from Northern Ireland also leaving the Internal Market and the Customs Union, as well as solutions to overcome the disproportionate detriments that the island of Ireland will suffer from unmitigated "hard Brexit"
