Abstract

Women with epilepsy (WWE) are advised to plan their pregnancy and access preconcep-tion care (PCC) for support with modification ofmedication so that the health potential of the womanand her baby can be maximised. We report prelimi-nary findings regarding women taking the teratogenicdrug valproate from a study which aims to understandhow WWE experience preconception care.
