Abstract
This article reflects on the use of artificial intelligence in nursing education and proposes the Pause-Prompt-Purpose Model (PPP) to help students and educators use AI without losing ownership of their thinking. The model encourages students to think first, use AI deliberately, and take responsibility for their decisions, keeping human judgement at the centre of learning in nursing education.
