Abstract

How can work make us sick? What are the conditions, antecedents, causes, mechanisms that make work make us sick? What are the regulatory frameworks for the protection of work-related mental health? What tools exist to diagnose work-related mental health in individuals, groups and organizations? Is it possible to prevent people from getting sick from work? And once people get sick, is it possible to intervene? How do we know if our intervention served its purpose or if its results will be maintained over time? How do we return to work after mental health leave? labor? What can organizations do? These are some of the questions that constitute a daily headache for the world of work and organizations, and which are addressed in the book from various perspectives.
