Abstract

This briefing provides an overview of discussions that took place at a dialogue event which brought together survivors of modern slavery and individuals working across the UK anti-slavery sector (154 in total) to discuss the ongoing challenges facing survivors of modern slavery living in the UK due to Covid-19. This briefing provides examples of good practice and offers recommendations for the UK Government, devolved governments and local governments, frontline services e.g. police, healthcare workers, immigration officers and NGOs. This event was held as part of an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded research project which sought to assess the risks, impacts and mitigating responses of Covid-19 for victims and survivors of modern slavery living in the UK and USA.
