Abstract

The European Code of Cancer Practice, co-produced by cancer professionals, patients and patient advocates, describes patientcentred good clinical cancer practice aimed at improving patient outcomes. There are 10 patient rights supported by a non-technical explanation; three questions that a patient may ask healthcare professionals; and a comprehensive evidence review, which will empower patients and influence healthcare professionals and policymakers. It aims to bridge the gap between cancer guidelines and plans, and the everyday experience of patients and their carers.
