Abstract
“Infectious” explicitly expresses everyone’s anxiety during this COVID-19. From one perspective, “Infectious” not only refers to the physical contagion but also metaphorically indicates the uncertain threatening rumors spreading out just like the virus. However, every cloud has a silver lining. The resulting organic structure in this video can be understood as virus infection processes while it can also be interpreted as a strong binding connection between each other like tree branches against the public enemy, COVOD-19. Eventually, the "Infectious" should implicitly arouse the inner beauty of ourselves to seek for supports together gaining the maximum benefits for all human races.
"infectious" was selected to be in the exhibition titled as "Art in the Time of Corona". The initial phase of this project is an online exhibition of art relevant and created during the current global crisis. Artists and artworks will be reviewed, juried and added each month as entries come in. Online visitors and collectors will be able to see brand new art work maximizing the viewing audience and keeping the exhibition fresh. The online exhibition will continue to run through 2023 (divided yearly). Our hope and goal with this project that artists will continue to create defining artwork throughout this time of unrest.
