Abstract

Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has become a popular scheme for electrified vehicle (EV) traction in recent years due to its remarkable performances. In this paper, three interior PMSM topologies have been compared by their parameters including no load magnetic motive force (MMF), torque output under different speed and inner power factor angle. Then the most suitable EV traction motor scheme-V shape interior PMSM can be chosen accordingly by FEM results and such motor is analyzed further; High order components exist in the motor inductance parameter with the reason for torque ripple of interior PMSM is concluded and summarized more.
