Abstract

An intrinsically matched coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed two-wavelength slot-loop antenna operating at 10 GHz has been designed, fabricated, and tested on a 10kΩ⋅cm high-resistivity silicon (HRS) wafer. The measured return loss −24 dB and far-field radiation patterns are in good agreement with simulated results. The operating bandwidth (defined for a return loss of −10 dB) is 0.89 GHz, and the calculated beamwidth is 120°, while the gain is 5 dB.
