Abstract

Following a plenary panel held in memory of Professor Barbara Wright at the annual conference of the SDN in March 2021, the four speakers (Therese Dolan, ClaireMoran, Mary Orr, and Maria Scott) decided to co-edit a guest-edited journal issue dedicated to their former friend and guide (whether that guidance took the form of teaching, research supervision, career mentoring, or something else). The volume will be on the theme of “Crossings and Interconnections,” in recognition of Barbara’s research interests in figures who crossed boundaries, whether between arts, disciplines, places or cultures. This special
ssue will thus focus on a topic which will allow rich discussion between a range of scholars at different stages of their careers, across different countries and across different media.
