Abstract

Part of the regular concert/talk series "Improvisation - musizieren und besprechen", Wuppertal in 2019.
Based on the writings of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa I explore ideas of
multi-mindedness / manyness which derives from Pessoa's creation of various heteronyms under which he published. I discuss the notion of multiplicity and link this to the concept of multi-mindedness in free music improvisation practice.
