'It's just what happens': girls' and young women's views and experiences of violence in Northern Ireland

Abstract

Commissioned by the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Directorate of The Executive Office, the research engaged with 268 girls and young women. Issues explored include: their understandings of violence; learning about gender and violence; experiencing violence; violence in the local context; barriers to reporting violence; preventing violence.
