Abstract

Dr Kevin Brown discusses his empirical research on the increasing criminalisation of homelessness in the UK and in particular the increasing use of Public Space Protection Orders in England and Wales to target rough sleepers and beggars. He discusses how current legal measures have historical resonance with vagrancy legislation from the past.
