Abstract
This review discusses “Critical Perspectives on Petrosonics”, a study day funded by the Royal Musical Association (RMA) and British Forum for Ethnomusicology (BFE), and hosted by King’s College London on Thursday, 11 May 2023. The day brought music and sound studies into conversation with the rapidly growing field of energy humanities, inviting contributions on the sonic dimensions of fossil fuel exploration, extraction, and use.
