Living, ageing and dying well

Research output: Contribution to journalEditorial

In the United Kingdom there are almost half a million older people, living in more than16 000 nursing and residential homes (Care Quality Commission, 2016). People who live in care homes are likely to live with a range of chronic and increasingly complex medical conditions. This means that care home nurses will need to have wide-ranging specialist knowledge to support their residents to live well (Cousins et al, 2016).
