Abstract
This work for solo piano was commissioned by William Howard for his project 'Love Songs', which sought to explore connotations of the love song genre in the hands of contemporary composers. The piece (4') was premiered by William Howard at the 2017 Cheltenham Festival of Music on 9 July 2017, and given its London premiere on 8 May 2018 at Leighton House, which also marked the launch of the CD recording (Orchid Classics 100083) of this and the other new works in the project.
