Abstract
In recent years web-based learning became considerably important. Therefore educational web sites should be designed to the expectations of the academicians, teachers and students. By this way we can improve the educational web sites to call upon their visitors by taking the academicians, teachers and students’ advice. We aim exploring the main features that should be in the educational web site according to the views of the academicians, teachers and the students in computer and mathematics branches.
This study was designed as a qualitative case study research. For this purpose we collected data using semi-structured interviews from academicians’, teachers’ and students’ (3 from each) in mathematics and computer branches by showing samples educational web site. Data was analyzed using Nvivo 7.0 software. We found that both in mathematics and computer branches have similar ideas; however, the participants in mathematics branch give weight to instructional cases. As for students, academicians and teachers in mathematics explain that the web site should contain educational games.
