Millimeter-wave imaging based on MIMO antenna array

Abstract

We present a mm-wave imaging technique for 3D object recognition. The proposed technique combines the frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) for range detection with digital beamforming for cross range profile detection of objects. The digital beamforming is performed on a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antennas. The performance of the proposed technique is demonstrated through various simulations at 77 GHz.
