Abstract

A published, peer reviewed article based on the writings of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa. In the article I explore ideas of multi-mindedness / manyness which derives from Pessoa's creation of various heteronyms under which he published. I discuss the notion of multiplicity and link this to the concept of multi-mindedness in free music improvisation practice.
