Proactive eavesdropping via jamming in full-duplex cellular networks with antenna selection

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

This paper studies the problem of antenna selection in a proactive monitoring via jamming scheme which consists of a suspicious single antenna pair, a multi-antenna full-duplex monitor and a cellular user. Specifically, based on the eavesdropping non-outage probability metric of the system, two antenna selection schemes to select single receive and single transmit antenna at the full-duplex monitor are proposed. We analytically derive the eavesdropping non-outage probability of the proposed antenna selection schemes. We further compare our results with the eavesdropping non-outage probability of the random antenna selection scheme. Our findings reveal that the performance of the proposed antenna selection schemes are dramatically improved by increasing the number of transmit and receive antennas at the full-duplex monitor.
