Bibliographical note

I was lead editor for this project, which drew on papers presented at two workshops I organised in the School of Politics, International Studies, and Philosophy: 'Democracy Division, and the Public Sphere' (Nov.2006), funded by the AHRC; and the Recognition, Equality Democracy workshop, 8 June, 2006.

These papers appeared first as a special issue of Irish Political Studies 22(4) (2007)

The bulk of the editorial work was shared with Jurgen De Wispelaere (TCD) and I took responsibility for composing the substantive introduction, 'Theorising Irish Politics'.
