Renewing Public Administration Research and Practice

Research output: Contribution to journalEditorial

Abstract

It is a great privilege to be passed the editorial baton from outgoing editor of Administration Tony McNamara, who has diligently overseen the Journal for the last twenty-three years. Tony’s appointment as editor in 1989 followed that of his predecessors Frank Litton (1980), Desmond Roche (1974), William (Bill) Smyth (1969), Jim O’Donnell (1965) and Tom Barrington (1953). All have left their mark as the Journal has sought to reflect and inform the changing character and role of Irish public administration. I look forward to building on this proud legacy.
