Abstract
Design and management of the Research Culture Week 2019 at the Graduate School.
The Research Culture Week consisted of a showcase of the fantastic research taking place across Queen’s University alongside workshops and events on a variety of different themes aligned with researchers’ work and development needs, by specialists in relevant areas. It included the final of the Vitae 3 Minute Thesis competition, with our finalists being forwarded to represent Queen’s University at the national Vitae 3MT final; and our 5th Annual Researcher Poster Competition, with top posters from Schools across the various facilities showcasing the research in poster form. Other elements include the launch of the Student-Led Academic Journal, the Innovation Conference and also a range of other networking events across the week.
The key themes setting the context for each day were:
• Telling your Research Story (Monday, 03/06/19)
• 3MT QUB competition and career development-related workshops (Tuesday, 04/06/19)
• QUB Poster competition and Online presence for researchers (Wednesday, 05/06/19)
• Innovation, Impact and outreach in Research (Thursday, 06/06/19)
• The importance of networking and multitasking (Friday, 07/06/19)
