Abstract
We examined the activity of Il-2, Il-2 receptor of lymphocytes, level of plasma lipid peroxide (MDA) in the plasmas of 22 cases of patients with NPC and the culture supernatant of CNE-2 cell line. Our result showed that activity of Il-2 and Il-2 receptor of peripheral blood lymphocytes decreased significantly while the level of MDA increased. Compared patients in different clinical phases, we found that the elevated level of MDA in late phase (III and IV) was much higher than that in the early phase (I and II). MDA in the culture supernatant of CNE-2 was higher than that of control. Combined with the molecular structure of MDA and other study data, we concluded that MDA was an immunol suppressive factor in patients with NPC.
