Abstract
Former US President Donald trump represented something of a break with US foreign policy orthodoxy. Drawing upon the rich dataset that is Trump's Twitter profile, this piece draws and develops upon securitisation theory to conduct an investigation of his framing of the Syria Civil War and its relation to American interests.
