Abstract
As his native Britain and Ireland consider the reintroduction of apex predators like lynx, Dr Jonny Hanson travels to the Annapurna Himalaya to learn from Nepali conservationists Rinzin Lama and Tashi Ghale about how to share landscapes with snow leopards. As biologist Rinzin, photographer Tashi and social scientist Jonny track a snow leopard and her cubs through the epic landscape of the Marshyangdi valley, they meet a herder who is also relying on livestock to feed his family. Spending time with him reveals that coexisting with large carnivores is also about coexisting with each other.
