Abstract

During the course of the last decades, an increasing interest towards the study of video clips has propelled a considerable amount of analytical methodologies, as well as critical reviews of its concepts, means of distribution and categories. Notwithstanding an inapplicable universal methodology, there is a lack of parametrization tools focused on the video clip as an autonomous object. It is therefore necessary to establish and understand the interdisciplinary relationship between the elements it comprises.
The present exercise aims to enquire the medium through a set of parameters, designed to explore the possibilities tested by a particular case study. In this sense, we have considered the videography produced for David Bowie (1969-2017) as a relevant example capable of carrying out the purposes of our methodological approach.
