Abstract

This submission addresses issues relating specifically to the definitional construction of the crime of rape in international and domestic criminal law. It makes concentre recommendations in relation to the role of consent and coercion in defining rape based on the authors significant published research in the area, to aid the Special Rapporteur in her quest to harmonise criminal laws on rape.
