These roles will support the student in practice working collaboratively to support and guide the student's progression through theory and practice. Registrants who were previously mentors and sign off mentors as per the SliAP standards will undertake training and transition to practice assessors and supervisors. The ability and flexibility of working with practice supervisors will enrich the nursing students' practice learning environments. The role of the personal tutor is to provide pastoral, professional, and academic support. The role of the link lecturer is to provide constant support to both the student and practice staff.
