Abstract

This paper describes an approach to deform the surface mesh of a CAD model in response to a change in the shape of the CAD model. It is an advance over existing techniques because it allows the boundary topology of the model to change. To achieve the deformation, one-toone topology match is achieved between both models using the concept of virtual topology. The surface mesh is deformed using constrained Delaunay triangulation.
