Abstract

This exhibition explored through text and photographs the societal challenges faced by the growing industrial of Belfast, in particular people's experiences of poverty and ill-health and the ways in which various welfare authorities sought to tackle these.
The exhibition was displayed in the foyer of PRONI and the McClay Library at QUB after which it toured the public libraries of Belfast.
