Abstract

Does technology-enhanced teaching have the potential to improve student engagement? This chapter reflects on this question and provides two examples of technology-enhanced learning activities that can produce an active learning environment. The chapter serves as a practical guide for those who are already utilising Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), as well as an inspirational talk for those who are reflecting on the potential of VLEs for teaching and active learning.
