Abstract

I took part in developing the structure and content of the Internet of Things research project The Living Room of the Future, an AHRC-funded collaboration between FACT, BBC R&D, The British Council, and universities of York, Nottingham and Lancaster. As part of my engagement on the project, I attended multiple brainstorming and development sessions at FACT, the BBC and the University of Lancaster, where I contributed with ideas to the smooth and meaningful integration of video content for the Object Based Media Living Room installation.I co-produced, directed and edited video content for the Living Room, and wrote, recorded and directed voice-over recording with performers for the ‘voice of the living room’ interacting with the installation participants. The installation opened at FACT in Liverpool, and was later exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and as part of British Council’s PlayUK Arcadia 2018 in Skopje, Macedonia.
