Abstract

The blog analyses the UK government's position paper on Northern Ireland after Brexit by identifying the problems the paper fails to address. These include the question how the EU legal framework underpinning socio-economic integration will be replaced if the recognition of Northern Ireland's unique status does not include any concession for Northern Ireland to remain within the Internal Market, the Custom's Union and the geographical space where EU citizenship rights can be effectively exercised.
