Abstract

A fuel tank is one of the important components in a power plant. It has an important role in energy generation process and the tank will supply fuel for internal combustion engine. We propose three element controls on fuel tank with feedback and feedforward control. We tuned the system to have a small Integral Absolute Error (IAE), settling time, steady-state error, and set point at 30%. Based on Simulink data obtained using the Ziegler Nichols method, we achieved a 30% set point, settling time of 8s, maximum overshoot of 18.4%, and 1.09% steady-state error for the system.
