Abstract

In this paper, we present a new design and implementation of a mm-wave scalar network analyzer. To achieve this purpose, a spectrum analyzer with tracking generator (DC-18 GHz) is used as a base instrument, and its operating frequency range is extended to W-band (75-110 GHz). The design of the frequency extender is discussed, and preliminary measurements are reported.
